I agree call back the office and explain all your concerns. Tell them you are not trying to get extra time off just weight limitations so you don't mess things up. They just about nailed me to the cross when I told them I had to lift my than 38 lbs daughter 5 weeks after surgery. Kelly was afraid I would get a hernia. The jerk at the post office who didn't like my than 3 yr. old throwing a temper tantrum could have cared less. Protect yourself and explain it to them again.

All your suggestions are so good, exept, I did tell Kelly I was worried about a hurnia, I told her I lift 75 pounds mirrors and move furniture!! If I call back the office , who do I talk to?

My blood disorder is not Thalsemia minor, although for the longest time thats what they thought it was. I have mishaped red blood cells. They are small and can not carry enough iron. There is no cure or treatment according to the specialist, but it will make me feel tired and have chronic borderline anemia, etc. I can not remember what the name of this condition is called.

As far as being my own moniter, I know that, and I will be, but you have to understand if my Doctor releases me with no restrictions, than I will be expected to do my job with no restrictions. Not to mention they have been calling since I got home to see when I can come back to work. You would think I was a brain surgeon or something. lol

Call Kelly and tell her you need it. Yes, we know you told her yesterday but tell her again today. Tell her you need it and that you are ready to return to work although not without weight lifting restrictions. Tell her you had time to think since meeting with her yesterday and that you feel you need the restrictions and that you wold appreciate her writing a note. If she wont do it still, call your PCP or ask that Dr callery call you. Just tell her (if she objects to writing the restrictions) that you dont understand, and that the info in our binders reminds us of our restrictions and that you feel its in YOUR best interest that you have a note sent to your employer advising them of such as well. You sound really worried about how you will come off to Kelly... who cares? Its your life, its your possible risk of hernia ASK AGAIN. You arent going to piss anybody off by asking, how ever you are sitting there upset as it is. Ask again sugar pea, you'll get your note. (( BIG HUGS )) Call now and tell us what happened! (Trust me girlie I work for a surgeon, your gonna get yur note regardless)
