Welcome HOME, welcome to TT, and just plain welcome!!
LOL about the food views on TV. Just for giggles...I was addicted to the food network during my pre-op diet and immediately post op for a good 2 months. I would have watched it 24/7 if my family would have let me. It was sick and comforting in a "special" kind of way. Don't worry, you'll get over it!
Glad you found us!!

I remember when I was 1st at home and I would see food on the TV I would think to myself MAN I WISH I WOULD OF HAD THAT AS MY LAST DINNER! I would see food that I don't even like and want to eat it. Not because I was hungry but because that's what I was use to doing. I'm almost three years out and it's a battle everyday for me, but a battle I am willing to take everyday. It does get easier. I read a lot that's what helped me get thru everything. Welcome to the losers bench!

Welcome Home. Yup, its a rough first few weeks trying to find things to do. Rest....get in liquids...thats your day my dear.
Food dreams drove me crazy. Didn't really want food, but thought about it all night long. Most tv commercials made me sick/nauseated.
Oh, its gonna be a fun ride...hang on tight!

elisse, I am right there with you. I had surgery 4 days ago and I swear all I think about is food. I never realized how much control food actually had over my life. I swear I have dreamt about food every night since I have had surgery. Thinking...."Man, I can't wait till I can eat real food." I do not even necessarily dream of bad food....just food in general. I know it's the head hunger talking and will take time. Hang in there! After reading all of these posts about chili I am stuck on that now!! lol

three days out and looking for support
I'm having all kinds of emotions, and yes the food thing is driving me nuts, my husband and girls are still eating their normal foods and I find my mouth watering yet I feel full. I guess I'm afraid of the changes, I have alot of questions, but don't know where to start. give me some advice please. I need all the help I can get.
