Default So what happens when you eat a chocolate chip cookie?

You Dump!

hello Paige... not sure why It thought it would be okay to take 2 bites of a thick gooey warm cookie but I did and I had to go lay down!

It was really good though.... really good.

Not worth it however, glad I dumped because the lure of those things could easily drag me right back to 200lbs!

Default Dumping is the worst!

How long has it been since you had WLS? You're already below goal! And this is the first bite of a cookie? I think we all test the waters in one way or another at some point. Mine was one of those snickers iceceam bars - it was really hot out and icecream was always my down fall. Stupid, stupid, stupid, I was sooo sick. I remember it well. Well, they said dumping is one way the surgery helps keep you on track. Sorry you got sick. Hope you're feeling better now.

Sharon

I'm 8 months out... this isnt' the first time I"ve dumped but the other times were accidents... like I drank a protein shake and didnt' check the sugar...at 2 weeks post op. Another time was bananas....

Yes this is my first sweet and I totally just blew off the fact that I shouldn't eat sugar... a cookie no less!

Default I get the symptoms, but no dumping

I don't get the physical dumping problem from eating sugar, but I can eat it and it will make me hot and sweaty for a short time. I eat sugar to keep weight on me, I have a problem with being underweight. Janie

Yes, I dumped, but as I approach 3 years, I can eat one easier and eat just the right amount not to dump...it gets scarier with time.
