Default So Far!

As of today I have lost a total of 15.5 lbs. I lost the 6.5 the hospital put on me by IV fluids and 10lbs of my own. Not too bad hu Gets me very excited. I do realize it may be different using another scale since the scale I used today I have never used before.

A scale is a scale! You go girl! I'm sure you are so proud! Sorry I'm posting in post op but just had to say I'm proud of you! Hope everything is well with you and your family! Any wise words for me?

Arrow Kelly and Tara

Kelly:

Wow! Your weight loss is awesome! See how great it is...the pounds just melt away. When you're not feeling your best, the scale going down always cheers you up! Don't forget to take care of yourself right now. Rest a lot and sip lots of water.

Tara:

Why should you apologize for posting in post-op??!!! You can post anywhere, girlfriend! This forum is open to all! You go right ahead and post whatever you want, whenever you want, wherever you want!

Thanks for the words of encouragement Dara & Tara. I agree with Dara, you can post anywhere & everywhere! You too will be post op soon Tara. I am so excited for you. Juat relax and alway have good, positive thoughts in your mind and you will be fine. Hope your mom is doing ok. Call me if you need any verbal support. I can only provide verbal since I am still healing

I am a little concerned about my incision healing properly because I think I took the steri-strips off too early. They did not look clean is why I took them off, and after taking with Christina over the phone today I think I took them off too early. The incision it's self looks good, a little red and tender. I can see the skin starting to grow over the incision and kind of looks like puss (not to be gross ) but no oozing from any where so I a pretty sure it's new growing skin. Kelly will be calling me tomorrow so I will ask her, but does anyone have any advise for me besides don't touch another thing until advised ? lol.

Kelly:

I think you're right about the incision growing new skin. As long as you don't see an opening and there's no oozing, you should be okay...at least until Kelly calls you tomorrow. I actually have to confess that I took my steri-strips off too...however, I waited until they were starting to curl up and fall off! You're very perceptive....don't touch another thing until advised, silly rabbit!!!

I'm on the phone with bridget and she said to stop picking at your self. It sounds like it is healing just fine and long as it doesn't smell. Don't get your family to to smell it for you. (lol) Your going to be fine and talk to Kelly tomorrow about it.
