Question Lemon Seed, Anyone??

While sipping a refreshing glass of water with a freshly squeezed lemon wedge, I swallowed a lemon seed. Does any one know if I need to be worried. It feels a little pressure in my pouch but not really uncomfortable. I tried eating some chili and drinking tea after a while and all goes down fine.

Any pearls of wisdom for my boo-boo??

It will pass lemon seeds are really small and I dont think It should cause a problem unless you feel sick or something then just call the doctor but I dont think It will harm you unless you ate like a handfull of them now that could cause a problem..lol...Hope you are doing good..

Thanks girls
Kelly, you must be feeling pretty good since you took on a new job as a comedian!! LOL
If I grew a lemon tree in my pouch I could have fresh lemonade every day. With Splenda of course!!

I am already fine. Quick recovery. I guess the chili helped move it out.

Arrow Gum Too

I don't know if anyone told you ladies or not, but you are NEVER to swallow gum! I didn't know that until about six months post-op. Not that I usually swallow my gum anyway. But I've had moments in the past where I was in church or something and had nothing to put my gum in...so I would just swallow it. NEVER AGAIN! Big no-no!

I thought we were not allowed to chew gum? Is that a temporary thing?

Rain you had chili? Today, I found it difficult for me to not binge on chocolate. I wants so badly to eat some! But did not...good girl! I am turning the other way and it shows.

Exclamation Gum

Rain:

I was never told not to chew gum. However, other patients told me they were told not to chew gum. I think they may tell patients not to chew gum as a preventive measure.

I do chew gum, but never swallow it. A couple of times I freaked myself out because I couldn't remember where I put the gum and I thought I had swallowed it! It scared me to death!

Anyway, the rule is to NEVER swallow gum. It could cause a blockage and result in hospitalization or further surgery.

Rain, your new picture is fabulous! You look great!

Default I was told not to chew gum

Hi all,

Kelly and Dr. Callery told me not to chew gum at all. Most likely because of the possible blockage.

I chew gum all of the time and yes they told us to be careful not to swallow it. Sometimes, I am paranoid because I can't remember if I spit my gum out. I always go back to the trash can and look to remind myself that it is there and not in my pouch!
