I don't care for sweet potatoes, but I love yams...of course, just a small amount, but they are good for you as long as you don't drench them in butter and brown sugar. A little splenda (brown) baked ontop of mashed yams....mmmm mmmm good.

Van~

You always know how to make me blush LOL.

I have been needing something to eat but I have been having trouble finding something. My food intake is limited to chicken, turkey no bread pasta or rice.

But thank you all, for your advice and help.

Just a warning about the sweet potato fries... I don't like sweet potatoes so therefore have never had sweet potato fries, but if they're the pre-cooked variety, you might want to make sure they aren't PRE-FRIED if you're concerned about fat content... Lots of those foods are (i.e., Ore-Ida fries, tater tots, etc.), so BAKING them at home really doesn't make much difference. Just FYI.....

Even more healthy than a sweet potato is butternut squash.

Same yummyness

Cut it in half down the middle and scoop out the seeds
Put on baking sheet skin side down

Cover with SF maple syrup and cinnamon and bake at 425 for 1 hour....OMG yummy

I WAS one of those who thought that if I BAKED the tater tots, they were OK for me... it wasn't until going to all the nutritionist classes that I discovered the horrible secret of frozen prepared potatoes, hahahaha
