Trouble drinking water?
I was wondering if anyone else has trouble drinking water? When ever I take a sip or drink of water it messes with my pouch, almost to the point of bringing it back up. Any input would be great.
Thanx,
Bret

I can only drink water if it is ice cold. Any other temperature and it just doesnt feel right in my tummy. We go through a lot of ice at my house.
Water, from what I hear, is very dense? So it does make a lot of people uncomfortable. I would try drinking it very cold or mxing it with Crystal Light, tea, etc.

Still can't drink plain water
I'm over a year and a half out, and still can't drink plain water very much. In a pinch, if I'm dehydrated, I do it anyway, but I have to change the water with something the rest of the time, Propel Powder, if nothing else. I drink about a half gallon of iced tea every day--which will probably give me kidney stones, but I have to have the liquid...

Yah.. I am pre-op, but I know most people have issues with water. I bet you could find a lot about it if you did a search for it... I am already hating that I might not like water lol.. but oh well.. I'll find something I like Its worth it

I have found the colder the water the happier my pouch is accepting it, but it also likes hot - but not room temperature- I worry that I drink tooo much water - Is that sick??? I agree adding some kind of flavor to it would probably help, but try different temperatures - I guess my biggest worry is dehydration - or throwing up - so I take everything very slowly. Hope you find what works for you

Water is very dense. I had no trouble with bottled water, could not do tap water or crystal light etc. Each of us seems to tolerate different things from hot to cold, flavor to unflavored. I always tell people to try different things and find the one that works the best for you. Hot tea most people can tolerate. I also used ice chips (snow cone maker) and popsicles to get in my daily amounts early out.

Since surgery in Jan. 06, I have never done well with plain water - and I miss CHUGGING it down, when I am doing the grass, etc. But I add the Crsytal Light packets, or I drink iced tea occasionally... also, if you can tolerate any sugar, I mix half super pulpy OJ with half cold water, and it's delish! Gives you some vitamins, potassium, etc. too.
You will find what works best for your body, and it's probably going to be different from anyone else!

Water
Water and 'Fred' do not mix! I have been very very lucky, there isn't much that I can't tolerate. Seafood and Garlic are the only true No-No's. I can't do much chicken or turkey, but I can do a little and very moist. But water? Oh no! There will be no plain water. I don't know why, it just does not agree with me. I can drink very weak tea, which I make decaf, so really it's just light brown water, but no plain. How weird is that?
