On the other side!
Well, I am finally on the other side and feeling well enough to finally post something. Thanks to those who came to visit me. Guess I got out too soon!
I have had some trouble, though, with nausea. Have been back to the ER with that and dehydration. Have to go see Kelly again today to check up on the nausea and general "stuff". My biggest problem is that I haven't really eaten much of anything in the 3 weeks since surgery. I've had maybe a total of 2 oz of thinly sliced turkey and the same of cheese. Lots of sugar free jello and water and crystal light. I'm so afraid the nausea will return, I am afraid to eat. Guess that's why I've lost 39 lbs in 3 weeks.
Any suggestions for something mild to eat on a "oogy" tummy?
I know someone has some wonderful suggestions!
Also, does anyone know where I can get Isopure? That's a clear protein liquid.
Mahalo (thanks) bunches!

First of all welcome home and welcome to the other side.. I know for me personally, Milk did the trick with my sick tummy. That and Lipton tea.. but it doesn't mean it will work for you. Maybe try it. In the beginning I would go three to four days without eating and you can ask anyone .. I was ALWAYS nauseous and sick.. come to find out the main reason I was sick was because I wasn't eating!! Go figure!! So I do suggest not to let your tummy be empty for too long.. just hang in there sweetie.. it does get better..
Much love to you..

Thanks
I knew either you or Bridget would be the first to respond! You guys must have radar on your computers to notify you of new posts!!!
I have never really been a milk drinker unless it's chocolate milk. Not sure how that would go, with the extra sugar. Maybe sugar free chocolate milk!?
Anyway, I'm trying to find something to put in my tummy that won't make me feel bad. I tried a protien shake with berries and felt terrible. Kelly said berries were ok. Maybe just not for me, just yet.
Anyway, I'm researching where to get some protien drinks now. That should help.
Thanks again!

Chocolate Milk
Suzanne,
There is an ok tasting chocolate milk type product out there called Carb Countdown.. I think it is by Hood. I find it at Albertsons.. It is low in sugars.. I think only 1-3 grams of sugars and high in protein and low in carbs etc.. you can try that.. but it is kind of thick for someone starting out?? You may be only able to get a few ounces down.
Good luck to you.. also I take Reglan still to this day when I get that nauseous feeling. Did Kelly put you on anything like that? Only thing is be cautioned that it Knocks you out cold.. so only take it if you can go to sleep for a while afterwards.. I only take at night when my day is finished and nobody is relying on me to be awake.. lol

Suzanne.
I buy Isopure at GNC. It tastes pretty good. It comes in a few different
flavors. I buy the fruit punch.

Egg drop and wonton soup strained got me through some tough spots with my stomach. I hope you find something quickly to help with that tummy upset!
Congratulations on your successful weight loss so far!

Welcome to the losing side, Suzanne!
You're now a full-fledged member of the Losing Team! Bet you never thought you'd aspire to that, didja?
Glad to see you're feeling well enough to get on here and post. You got lots of good answers, so I won't try to add to them - just keep on trying things until you find what goes down well, and keep on pluggin' away!

Suz!!!!
There you are my little sugar pea pie pea! i went to the hospital, man you were out on the quicknes... either that or I'm slow. Well anywho, good to have you back and here on the other side safe and sound!
When your tummy feels oogly, the advice I got was to revert back to the clear liquid stage for a couple of days... that should get ya on track. Just remember and know that, this shall pass. You will be able to eat again!
Glad your here! I missed ya mucho!

Hey Suze,
So glad to see you on this side. Question for you. Could you possibly have gone lactose intolerant? I did for a bit after surgery. Turkey is still hard for me too. Sure hope you feel better soon!!
