Smile Awwwwwwww

You are such a sweetie n stuff. You can bring your hubby if you want, or if you can you can come alone. First of all Dr C or Dr P will ask if there are medical questions and then it goes from there.... then we will discuss milestones or concerns that we may have and share experiences n stuff. Then afterwards the group usually about 30 of us head over to the Outback for Joey Sirloin (or whatever you like) yum! The staff there is very cool about letting us order off the childrens menu and the service is great! We have a good time, I cant wait to finally meet you! Yeah! So Thursday at 6pm... its a date!

Thumbs up Rain

Don't worry sweetie, you are right on track. I know it can seem frustrating in the beginning.. think about this I lost 4 pounds my first week, where others lose more than 10.. So I thought that it wasn't going to work for me either.. nine months later I am down 120#'s.. so don't worry it will happen. Your body needs to catch up right now. Your body thinks it is starving.. it is not used to having less food yet. Give it time and it will catch up and get on board with your new regimine.. trust us.. it does work!! You're doing fine!!!

Default I hear ya Girl

I'm 2 weeks post op today and I've stopped losing. I'm angry, frustrated and constipated. I don't know what to do.
I feel like I'm doing everything right but nothing is moving. I drink all my water, I'm walking on the treadmill, I even went back to soup as I was losing 2 pounds on day on it.

I don't know what to do. I'm angry, upset and disappointed.

Help!!!

Default Gloria,

Don't worry your pretty little head about the weight. If you're following the rules, which it sounds like you are, you'll do just fine. Like Bridget said, don't look at others weight loss and compare yourself. Everyone is different, but the one thing in common we all have, is the weight does come off. Some faster than others.

I had your same fustrations early on too, but understood that this was normal from what I read on the forum. You will be fine! Don't stress!

Post Too early to be upset

Gloria,

You are only 2 weeks out. Give your body a chance to accept the changes and catch up. This is totally normal at that stage. We all experienced it. You are way further along that I was at that point. I had only lost a few pounds by then.. now I am down 120 lbs.. it does come off. You have to allow your body to heal. As far as the constipation goes.. there is a great herbal type tea out there called smooth move. I found it in the health food or natural foods section of the store, but have been told it is also available in the tea section at some stores. This really helped me through that. I get constipated quite often and it is very frustrating, I know. Don't give up on yourself.. heck by next week you will realize that the weight is still coming off. Don't get frustrated yet. It is way too early for that. Just know that this surgery will work for you and you can't fail in the beginning. Now is the time to start getting your eating habits in check and do the best for yourself that you can.

Good luck to you..
