Default 6 Month Check-up

Had my 6 month check up on Friday. Everything is going well. I am right on schedule. I have lost 89 pounds and have 25 more until goal. I never thought that I would get this far. Life is great!!! To all of those who have given me their love and support, I thank you. You are all true blessings to me!

Default 6 months

Hi Dale: Congratulations! You look and sound so good. Youth AND beauty, what a concept. I too had my 6 month check up on Friday. Haven't lost as much as you, but plenty for me...67 lbs so far. I feel great. So many of the problems I had that prompted me to have WLS are gone...
*shortness of breath
*coughing
*incontinence
*snoring
*knees feel better
*hips - NO PAIN
*may be able to stop taking the HBP meds soon (have my annual with PC on Thursday)
*no ulcers on my feet and legs; only healed scars now
*easier to move
*63.5 inches smaller
*enjoying new clothes
*saving $$ on food
*can exercise/walk easily

I have not regreted the decision to have the surgery for one second! I have hope for the first time in years. Taking each day at a time, continuing my education about the process and making good decisions has helped me realize that this is a lifetime process...as was the prior life before the surgery. I thank God for Dr. Callery, Kelly, the staff, the support group sessions and for all of you here on Thinnertimesforum.com for sharing your experiences and advice. Little do you all realize that some of us who do not contribute as often are still reading your stories and learning more every single day.

All the best to you, Dale, and the rest of you reading this message.
This new year will be a good one!
Life is good, very good!

Hey girl, I had my 6 month on Friday also. Mine was at 2. Congrats on the milestones you are passing. Feels great doesn't it? I wish my visit had gone as smoothly as yours! I now have an alien I fondly refer to as Henry protuding out of my incision. Bummer.

Pam,
Sorry to hear about your alien protruding. I have an area wear my stomach protrudes and I forgot to show it to Kelly. I will show it to you next time I see you and get your opinion. Glad we are all doing well..except for that hernia of yours. Take it easy.

I'm so happy that your six-month checkup went well. You're getting very close to your goal. You'll be there before you know it! What a great feeling!

You know that I think you're great. Keep up the great work.
