Default Are you walking differently?

I haven't taken off that much weight yet but ... with what I have so far ... I can tell that my 'lumbering' walk is off ..sort of.

I mean I am still walking like I'm carrying someone on my back ... but that person really isn't really there anymore.

I'm needing to start walking more ladylike - like I used to.

Anyone else notice this?

I find walking so much easier and enjoyable now...especially since my thighs don't attack each other with each step and my stomach doesn't impeded my gait anymore. Unfortunately my breasts are "growing" in length and sometimes get bopped by a knees.

LOL... that is so funny. I notice a different in my walk. My butt seems like it jiggles more then before. Talking about some body being on your back. I was just telling my friend, When I was a little heavier I always felt like somebody was following me. That is what happens when you dragging the Wagon.

Ahh thanks but ... it did seem like I was carrying someone on my back. )

I think I need to be more conscious of how I move around in space these days.

Default My walk completely changed

My husband said I changed about the three-month mark - stopped walking on the inner side of my feet, started walking on the whole foot again. Changed my balance completely, took a while for my back and upper body to adjust, too.

I DEFINITELY walk different! It's amazing the difference. For the first time in 6 years, I put on a pair of heels last night and walked around the house JUST to see if I could! LOL What is funny is they matched my short nightgown I had on...they were my son's g'friend's heels she wore to prom last night. We wear the same size. LOL But they were sexy little heels. I was totally shocked first of all that my now slimming foot even fit in them width wise. Secondly, my son looked at me and said....."Wow Mom, your legs look GOOD in those and I don't like saying that because you are my Mom"! LOL Of course, my fiance' was in the corner growlin' like a tiger. ROFL So, I definitely think I walk better and differently. I couldn't have even put all that weight on heels before surgery. I don't even think my legs and ankles would have held me up in them.

I walk differently...way different...but then I also didn't walk that much before either.

The one bad habit I have developed in hunching over and have to remind myself the sit, stand and walk with my shoulders rolled back. With the belly gone, it actually helped support me (core support) and then held up the boob weight..I have to carry it all myself now.
