Default 6 month honeymoon period urgency!

The first 6 months is the fastest, easiest time to lose weight. By the end of the six months, 2/3 of the regrowth of that pouch will have been done. (From and egg to a lime) That means that each present day after surgery, you will be satisfied with less calories than you will the very next day. Another way to put it is, everyday that you are healing, you will be able to eat more. So exercise as much as you can during that first six months as you will never be able to lose weight as fast as you can during this time.

Thanks for that info...I have been going to Gold's since January..and have a year contract. I love the water exercise and the treadmill...I'm losing steadily, about a pound or 2 a week, which I'm very happy with. I am just trying to tone up what I can as it comes off. I'm feeling great and so happy I did this! Wish I'd done it 10 years ago...but better late than never. I know my quality of life has already improved drastically! I'm full of energy and excited about life now! Woohoooo!!!

I've been going to the gym since my doc cleared me to at 6 days post-op (to walk on the treadmill only). Just last Sunday I started lifting weights and really working out. I feel like I am doing 1000% more than when I was just doing water aerobics, treadmill and bike. I still do cardio, but the weights just make me feel awesome!
