Default 6 Months Post-Op

Cant believe its been 6 months, although there are times it seems longer, but just knowing I have made it this far has given me so much personal gain. I like myself now, I like who I am and how I am more open to others. Its amazing that being overweight all your life that you just hide your self away somewhere hoping no one is looking at you and making all those comments we all know and have heard. Now its strange when I see someone looking at me (with interest) and I just give them a smile and go on my way. Saw my Doc yesterday and he gave me a green light, I am right on track. My labs were great, vitamin levels where they should be, so I am a happy girl. I also went to apply for College which I will be starting in July (LVN program) its been my childhood dream and now I have the confidence that I can do it. I am looking forward to being in classes, and being with other people with the same dream. God Bless our Surgeons for giving us a new life.

Do I really want to be normal?? Having some body issues. Don't want to be too thin.

Starla, Wow that is great. It isn't always about the number on the scale but the confidence you gain during the process. Big Congrats on signin up gor Nursing school. That is a very important decision and a big move in your life. Going to Nursing school will do great for your confidence as well.
