20 Weeks!
Okay guys, I need some input.
I consider myself to be a slow looser. I have lost 52 pounds in 20 weeks.
MY PROBLEM is that I have not lost any weight in 12 days! I have been in the 190's for 6 weeks! I have so much more weight to loose. I am so upset.
I have tried to mix things up and work out extra long, I ate over 80g of protien yesterday, drank over 60 oz. of water, about 900-1000 calories.
MY QUESTION: at 20 weeks (or 18 weeks) is that normal to hit a plateau? Are we all differant?
I don't think I am loosing inches, things seems to fit the same. I dont measure myself.
I need some advise.
I know, throw the damn scale away!

Patience...It's a hard learned thing, but one that will help out tremendously! Things will move again, your body is just doing a self-adjust. It's normal, it happens. Some people go through this repeatedly every 10#'s some only once or twice. Welcome to the club. If all else fails, try NOT working out for a couple days, double your protein and water those two days, then kick your regime back into high gear. (Like a re-boot LOL!!) No matter what you do, things will start moving again....

It's too early to freak out! Your body needs to take a break and adjust!!!! I don't think you're losing slow...your body knows what's best for you...just stay the course, you're doing great!

52 pounds is nothing to sneeze at though!
I wish I were in your boots. I'm going into my 8th week but I only lost 24 pounds my first 6 weeks, nothing last week and ... I'm scared to weigh in this week.
I think you are in a stall ... it'll pass. )

Lisa:
It's very normal to hit plateaus - you're going to hit them every step of the way. But, your body will eventually catch up - and you may get on the scale and have lost several pounds. There's no rhyme or reason to weight loss, and it's definitely not steady.
Continue to track yourself on the worksheet - you'll see a steady loss, and it will reassure you through your journey.

Lisa Plateau can happen as soon as a couple of weeks post-op. I hit a plateau like 3 weeks out. It was very depressing but it will pass. You have to stick to the programs. Don't be fustrated Lisa. This isn't no fly by diet. YOu have this tool for the rest of your life. There is no expiration date on losing weight. Congrats on the -52 pounds you have lost. That is great.

Reading you're sig you're weight loss is completely on track. You may only think 50lbs?? gosh whats going on. The bottem line is if you keep up that pace you will hit goal weight in 10 months.
do you know how many GBS patients hit goal weight in 10 months?

Go get a measuring tape!
Some weeks when I didn't experience any weight loss, it was my only motivator.
Measure = neck, both upper arms, under arms, both lower arms, waist, chest, hips, both thighs, and both calfs. You will simle every month when you see these numbers change!
I wish you much success!

Thanks Guys!
I have not measured my body parts at all. The doctor measured me at the time of my first weigh in. I will take some measurements.
I guess I am freaking out because I have only lost 3 pounds this month. I know I am doing everything I am suppose to do, so I just need to stick with it. It is hard not to get down on myself.
Thanks for the support.
