Just had my herniea repair/TT - the hernia was covered as a medical necessity, but my doc/hospital no longer bundle bills, so I took out a loan (to repay when escrow closes on the house) for the TT and it was $3500.00 - my surgeon cuts a deal for his patients - otherwise the TT would have been 7-10K...

I'm having an extended TT (he is doing my flanks too) and a hernia repair on May 15th. It's $8500.00 and I'm using savings. Ins will pay a small portion - but the extended TT is a 5.5 hour procedure, the ins will only cover 1 hour of OR time for the hernia.
