Default 2 Months Out

Tomorrow I will be two months post-op. I have gone from a 24-26 pant and 26-28 top to a 18-20 pant and a 20-22 (2x) top. As of the 4th I had lost 50lbs. This is more than I have ever lost on my own. I walk with a friend three days a week and I feel great.

I have not been this happy and peaceful in many many years. While I may not post much, I do read alot. Everyones post (good, bad or otherwise) helped me before surgery, while I was home recovering and continue today to still help me emotionally. The brutal honesty of some very personal problems helps people like me to know that I am not alone and someone understands.

If someone had told me 6-months ago my life would be so different I wouldnt have belived them. Thanks to everyone who (unknowingly) has contributed to my success thus far.

Smile How exciting

It is so much fun to look back and reflect on those very early days. Before you know it you will be in a size 14 then a size 8!!! How exciting and what an accomplishment you have made in such a short time. Keep up the great work and keep us informed as to how you are doing. Thanks for sharing your triumphs it reminds me where I came from and how exciting it was to drop those sizes!!!

Thumbs up

Hi Debbie,
Congratulations on your choice to have the GBS and on the success you've had in the past 2 months since having it. Keep up the good work with your walking...that's the best thing you can do for yourself.

You are going to find that shopping for clothes is a lot more fun than before and you have many more choices to select from. You will feel really encouraged when you can no longer shop in the "plus" sizes because they are too big! You will have many milestones in this journey and I'm so glad that I'll be able to hear about them.

Keep up the great work and keep filling us in on your progress.

Default Debbie,

Congratulations on your success! It's just such a blessing to finally be able to loose weight instead of gaining. Dropping sizes in clothes still blows my mind every month! You could just pop me with a pin when I get into that next size down.

I'm so happy for you!

Congrats on the wonderful job you are doing to lose the weight. You can kiss the 50lbs goodbye forever. Keep up the great work. I'm so happy for you and glad you are doing so well.
