First of all you're doing great and listen to Dr Dyann she is smart as a whip! You'l be dropping sizes before you know it! I thought the same thing for a long time! Now I'm too low on the weight chart! That sounds ridiculous to me! I need to gain some muscle mass! Good luck at watch this forum, you'll learn alot and make a bunch of friends! Mike

The larger the size you wear, the more time it takes to go down a size. I was beginning to think I would never lose a size! I have lost 131 lbs. and gone down 2 sizes. I was really bummed about that for a long time until someone explained the whole percentage body weight thing. I started at a 5X or 6X, depending on how it was cut. Now I wear either a 3X or 4X. I started in a 56DDD bra. THe last bra I bought was a 44DDD. I can't wear a 44 in the same brand I was wearing before surgery, but the Lane Bryant comfy cotton bras didn't go all the way up to 56. Anyway, just remember that the more you lose, the faster you will go down sizes. Don't worry about it! Of course, I say that as earlier today I was fussing about my stomach and thighs but that's more about appearance than how clothes fit. Oh, well. I guess just do as I say, not as I do!

sorry to hijack, but Bella, your face, look at your skinny little face, love the new avvie girl!
Thank you very, very much for the compliment.

Yes, my face is smaller and so is the rest of me and .... amazingly my colleagues ARE starting to notice!

I'm still wearing my 'uniform' of the loose fitting tunic tops and the black stretchy pants though. I think they give me some sort of comfort.

I'm slowing trying to work my way out of those clothes - but somehow it's hard.

Anyway ... as usual ... I'm soooo glad I got this surgery!!

Well I dropped off the board for awhile and just saw this topic pop back up. I am doing ok. The clothes sizes and inches are changing. It is really great and I am finally into "normal" sized womans clothes but clothes are still so frustrating. At my largest size I also though "skinny" woman were able to wear anything and always had tons of clothes to chose from. Well now that I am down to a 14/16 I find I still have the same feelings and issues as before.
My expectations are still high. I still think I should be farther along and that I am not doing enough. But I also know I need to catch myself and remember that the weight and inches are only one component of everything in my life that I am overhauling and changing for the better.

I hope and pray that some day I will be satisfied with where I am at. I have come a long way and still I see the mountain that I have yet to climb. The problem with moving forward in your life is that as you can see is where you have to go or how far it is to get there. I just have to remind myself to look back at where I have come from.

I would think of people "not" noticing a blessing in disguise. Soon enough the will be noticing everything you eat and what they think are "right" or "wrong" foods for you. Then they will comment because they "care" about you. Trust me, enjoy being ignored lol.
