Default A sight we've been praying for.

Well the water is wide but you're making it through. So glad to "see ya". Sorry for the issues but glad to hear you can be taken care of at home for now. Keep your chin up, this will all be a distant memory soon.

Dave, I'm so glad you are OK. I too had some major complications, abcessed sleen, spleenectomy, hemorage, almost died twice, Hospitalized for 3 weeks. Chest tube, feeding tube, all kinds of tubes. I had home health care for a month following, with an open incision packed twice a day. And IV antibiotics.

This detail is not just to talk about myself. I just want you to know I understand. I went into a pretty crappy depression and felt like I had brought this all upon myself. It will get better, and my guess is you'll say it was all worth it.

Yes, we all know there can be complications, we all take that risk. BUT, we also expect to have proper care. If you didn't get that, act fast, there is a short statute of limitations.

I pray you feel better, sounds like you are doing great w/ fluids and protein!

So, so, SO glad you posted an update! Sounds like you had "hell month" instead of hell week! Prayers are going out for you to feel at least a little better each and everyday!

Oh, and if possible, could you please designate a buddy on here? We're like a bunch of mother hens worrying about our chicks when someone doesn't check in regularly! Or at least have Suzanne check in with us if you can't post.

Dave, I am glad you are home and felt well enough at least to give everyone an update. We were all worried. Sounds like it has been hell. I hope from here on out it is blue skies and sunny days for you.
Take care of yourself, get some rest and we are all thinking of you.
