I track everything I eat and am only taking in about 300 calories a day, so I don't understand why I'm not losing anything. Everyone's saying more protein, more protein so I guess I'll give it a try. I've got nothing else to lose I guess. I'm not very happy with this surgery at the moment.
I'm glad you caught this John.

Here is a promise - if you don't eat, you'll feel like poop and you won't lose weight. Your body can not live on 300 calories a day, and it knows it. It will go into starvation mode and do everything it can to save your life. It thinks you are dying. Show it that all is well by eating enough protein and drinking enough fluids every day.

I'm losing slowly compared to many others here, but honey, I feel great, look even better and it is coming off none the less. 77 pounds since surgery - how could I complain??

EAT!

I haven't changed a thing - 6 pounds in 10 days - I have no idea where that came from. Won't move for another month now I suspect, but I'm starting to realize I have no control over this process - well - no direct control.

I eat right, I work out. My body just does its thing. It is like living with someone who won't talk to you but suddenly the dishes are done or something. (Strange anaolgy - hope you get it)

Default protein, protein, protein!!!

i dont know about you guys but i am so tired of hearing the protein speech... i know, i know we need it and i get it. i found a good website for protein called LifeAuthority.mychoices.biz. it seems to have some good options (even cookies!) with comparable prices. i am sooooo picky on my powders though and most of them end up in cocktails. i think you can log in without creating a user account by using guest in the bottom left corner. not sure though. anyway i hope this helps to give you more options to get in your protein. goodness knows we need them.

I love my protein! Its canadian. I think the protien shakes kept me alive for some time. I never had to worry about it with the Isopure in my life.

i have to agree totally about the protein keeping you alive!!! i feel like poo when i dont get mine first thing in the morning or after a good workout. i really like isopure because of the amount of protein but the whole fruity thing is not so much for me. the protein powder on the website i mentioned also has 50 grams of whey protein so i switched over. it is the same price and they have free shipping for orders over 75 dollars so it all works out for me! i really dont think i would have done as well as i have if it wasnt for making sure i got all my supplements.

My weight loss has actually seemed to slow when I began to take in more protein. I am finally able to get more fluids in so that is a really good thing.

Do I really want to be normal?? Having some body issues. Don't want to be too thin.

I use the Isopure Dutch Chocolate powder. I don't do fruity ones at all. Don't forget that you can only absorb 35 grams of protein at a time!

absolutely! i do half in the morning with my coffee and the other half after the gym. i did some research and females have it even harder. (of course...) we can only absorb about 20-25 grams at a time. and then dont forget it has to be a complete protein to even get absobed. that is why i love my pre-made protein pudding and protein cookies. just the right amount of protein to absorb and i dont have to drink it. i know if i had discoved the pudding right after my surgery i would have been a lot happier. thank goodness those days are gone! not that i would trade them for anything because without those days i would not be where i am today. i thank God for every single one of them, even the ones that were spent hugging the toilet.

I, too, and SO SICK of the protein speech! I know I'm not getting enough protein, but when every supplement I've tried makes me gag, what am I supposed to do about it? I've tried everything! Ready to drink, powders, protein bars, every one of them has that protein taste that comes through and it just makes me gag. If I try to choke it down, I just end up puking. Ugh! I hate protein!
