Thumbs up 6 week checkup!

Hello Losers!

I've been busy and haven't posted for awhile. I had my 6 week check up earlier this week and I've lost 30 lbs....GONE!!! Yippee! I also wanted to share my silly little complication that I had in case any other newbies read this. My tongue had goopy, sticky stuff on it constantly. I thought it just went with the whole ketosis thing. Good thing I mentioned it because it was Thrush and all I had to do was take 2 tiny little pills this week and now it's gone. So the moral of the story is---tell your doctor all your complaints, concerns, and questions!

Hey, I've reading about Dave--anyone hear an update on him??

Good advice Ms. Kitty. No question or comment is a dumb one. Big congrats on the -30 pounds gone forever. That is amazing. You are on a great path.

Thrush? I haven't even heard of it in a hundred years, and I thought it was something babies got! Huh!

Congrats on the weight loss! Don't the clothes feel good now, a little wiggle room? Yippee!

Oh well done!!! What a wonderful start! Keep it up and enjoy it! I haven't heard anything on Dave but I am just now getting back to reading the forum. So glad you got rid of the thrush. Good thing it wasn't at the painful sore stage just the goopy white stuff. Anyway glad you got it all under control now

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Default thanks!

Hi, thanks for all the encouragement! My doctor told me that it's quite normal to get either thrush or a yeast infection (for women) after WLS since we are on strong antibiotics in the hospital and the shock to our whole body with all the changes going on.
