Default My loving husband has passed on

Hello all my lovely friends,
thank you for your tremendous support these past few weeks. Rob was diagnosed with a final stage colon cancer on January 4, 2007. He passed away February 27, 2007 at 11:50 p.m. For whatever reason, Rob could not handle his first chemotherapy treatment. He was truly hoping that it was going to work wonders. However, God had other plans. This past Friday, we went to the cancer clinic to have his chemotherapy "bottle" removed...he was not due for a second round for two weeks. He then threw up...so they thought they would hydrate him with the drip before we went home. During our 1 hour stay he had a cardiac event and went code blue. We were then rushed to emergency and eventually ICU. Rob had to be put on a ventalator and we decided to have him removed from it on the 27th at 6 p.m. He hung on for nearly 6 hours but died in my arms. I am so thankful for our last moments and am glad I was with him. I am now writing his eulogy for Saturday's funeral. Any inspirational words for such a thing would be appreciated...I really have no idea how to go about it....
Your thoughts and prayers were so welcomed and I am sorry I didn't respond at the time. God bless you all. I appreciate having my cyber family and am grateful for your input. Be well, cherish your special somebody and embrace them tonight. I sure wish I could do the same.

I am sorry for your loss Bonnie... There are no words that can express that... you will always have him with you...

“A part of you has grown in me. And so you see, it's you and me together forever and never apart, maybe in distance, but never in heart.”

I had that quote imprinted on my brothers funeral cards....

{{{{{{Hugs}}}}} I hope your inner strength.. carries you.

Default I am so sorry

Oh, Bonnie, I am so sorry for your loss. Please take care of yourself, let us know if there is anything we can do or any way we can help.

A few ideas for your eulogy - I know how hard they are to write. I don't have all the authors of the quotes, I'm sorry.

"If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever."

"Real love stories never have endings."

and an old Hebrew proverb: "Say not in grief 'he is no more' but live in thankfulness that he was."

A painful and sad thing for you and your family. Nothing can make it easier or better, but with time it won't be so raw. You sound like you have a great love. Something that people may never experience. I am sorry for your loss, but so happy for the memories you have with him.
