Default Help...Pain...A Little Worried

Hi Everyone,

At 7:30 this morning I ate 1/2 bagel...too fast...I didn't even realize it until I was done. I don't even know what made me think I could eat a bagel since I very rarely even eat bread. Well, the pain hit right away. I have been in HORRIBLE pain all day. I don't understand how it can last this long. I have chewed multiple Gas-X and taken a nap...but the pain woke me up a bunch of times. I almost got in another car accident driving home because of the pain...oh, I forgot to mention that I got rear ended on my drive into work today. No real damage to my car. Help, I am getting worried about this pain. Has anyone had this kind of pain and had it last this long? It is that sharp butcher knife in the pouch feeling...that also feels like a bon fire sometimes. I sooo don't want to go to the ER and have them tell me it is nothing.

Oh gosh.........maybe something stuck in there...its been a while since you had the bagel. I just logged on to post question about pain too....but I won't hijack ya.

Not sure what to suggest, maybe warm liquids to soften things up? If it continues, a visit to the doc may be needed.

Sorry you are going through this...hugs your way and I pray its gone soon. I know you gallbladder is gone, so its not that.

Where abouts is the pain. I have it right under the left ribcage again, and I think its where my pouch is, but people tell me the pouch is set back in more and I shouldn't be able to feel it. Your pain is there too?

Default get thee to a doctor

If you are still in pain most of the day later, call the doctor! Call the doctor's service! You might have anything going on in there... Warm liquids did seem to help a little the only time I got something stuck, but they just came up along with everything else.

The pain is smack in the middle about 4 inches above my belly button. I believe the pain is in my pouch. I haven't tried warm liquids. I did drink a tiny amount of cold water at work and it made it worse. I am afraid to eat or drink anything. My gallbladder is gone, but the pain is a lot like the attacks I had back when I had stones. Nothing is coming up though...there is just a CONSTANT pain.

This pain is baaaad. I have only been able to get down my normal Starbucks (before the bagel) and about another cup of water. I feel like chicken poop.

Oh honey! I am having those same pains, dead center upper abdomen, sharp intense pains, but periodically. But I just had my gall bladder out and they think maybe a stone is loose and casuing a blockage... maybe you're blocked too, but with a bagel??

And I agree with the warm liquids, and calling your doctor. Let us know what happens.

man.. hope the water helps... sometimes even after the gall bladder is out you can get a stone stuck in the duct.. but the fact that it happened right after you ate a bagel... may have more do with it? Let us know what you find out! !
