Default So frustrated!

Yes peoples - Sheree is sick again! I am so tired of getting ill that I am really started to wonder if this is all worth it.

Spent all of last night in the ER with horrendous pains in my right hand side (around my waist area - towards the back). After 10 hours they still couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. The ruled out kidney stones as there was no blood in my urine and no stones were picked up on the scans.

I have been constantly vomitting for the past three days - can't even keep water down and just want to curl up and die.

The discharged me and referred me to my gp next week because they couldn't figure it out.

I wish someone could just tell me what is going on cause i am so tired of feeling like this. The pain has subsided a bit this afternoon but still bad enough that I need strong painkillers.

The hospitals letter to my gp mentions something about... The left distal ureter apears to be slightly displaced due to this opacity seen within the pelvis which appears to be enhaning slightly. The standing column o nthe right side is seen on two further films inspite of micturition. I think these appearances are in keeping with a possible lucent calculus within the right distal ureter possibly at the level of the VUJ. Further clinical correlation is advised.

Any ideas?

Do you still have your gallbladder? There seems to be a rash of gallbladder removals on the board lately. Maybe your time is up too? I had mine taken during my surgery because I had 3 attacks over the last 10 months consisting of sharp pains starting on the right side and radiating across my abdomen w/ nausea and violent vomiting until everything was gone. Once I dry heaved bile, I was done and the attack was over. Apparently the gallbladder's purpose is to produce bile to process fatty foods. So, I'd eat something greasy and get an attack.

When the surgeon checked my gallbladder I had crystals, but no stones. I'm not sure if the crystals would have shown up on an ultrasound or not, but she definitely wanted to check it while she was in there.

Thanks Rene but apparently the reckon there is no way it can be my gall bladder because the pain is on the left and my gall bladder is on the right but I have to say I have my doubts because whenever I am sick it eases the pain for about 15 minutes.

When I had my pain from my gallbladder attacks it wasn't of either side...it was smack dab in the middle...about 3-4 inches above my belly button. So, I wouldn't rule out the gallbladder. Get well soon!!!

Wow Sheree, My prayers go out to you. I wish there was some good advice I could give but I totally offer my support. I so hope when you go to your surgeon, he shines a better light on what is going on. Hang in there sweety.

Internal pain is one of those weird things... it doesnt necessarily end up where it starts.. "referred pain". I hope they figure it out for you.. and soon! Good Luck!

Thanks guys for all your support. I am feeling a little better today, still can't keep anything down but not so much pain.

Have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow so hopefully they will be able to figure out what is going on!

I want to be fit and raring to go for my holiday in NZ in two weeks time (please lord please - I have been waiting so long for this!).

The good news is that I've only got 9lbs to go until I reach onederland and century club! Woo hoo!

Can she do it by the 2nd of March is the question?!

Hey there,

You're not having much luck being in and out of hospital. Other than colds and coughs I've been lucky.

You're so close to century, I saw a friend of mine yesterday who start out similar weight to you, shes almost a year out and down to a size 12.

You can do it!!!

Thanks Toni - that gives me some inspiration - at least I know it's possible!

Yes - I do seem to have gotten sick quite a lot - I was hoping I'd be one of the lucky ones that didn't!
