Ooooo - I only wish it was just a straight forward scan. Apparently this one involves having some kind of 'probe' stuck inside me if you know what I mean - and that ain't nothing I ever wanted to do!

I hate internal ultrasounds.. I feel your pain shereeks! It looks more painful than it is.. Its not really painful.. just full, and pressure. Its the humiliation aspect I didnt deal with well... my xray tech was great tho, and just got down to business.. never looked "down there" cept to well.. get it where it needed to be (they offer to let you do it yourself).. Doesnt take long really...

You aren't stupid Duckie!! Take it quack! Err.. Take it Back! ... if you havent had to do those stupid things...

Note..Shereeks.. make sure your bladder is full.... I had one once, and was so dehydrated, that they filled my bladder for me! (noshit!) with water from the fridge.. thought I was going to die... Ever since then.. I can drink up a storm for an ultrasound.. but you with a pouch.. are going to have to REALLY try harder.. just wanted to give you a heads up..

Sheree,
If you're feeling better, it's probably because the stone passed into your bladder and broke up. I just saw this thread and was totally thinking kidney stone before Dr. Dy spoke up. They're very common post gbs and induce a pain that is beyond the pale. It causes vomiting it's so bad, and disappears as quickly as it develops once the stone passes. In the grand scheme of post surgery problems, though, it's one of the easier solved ones. The pain is the most impressive issue--it gives a new meaning to "on a scale of 1 to 10..."

One thing to know is that once you're a stone maker, you can count on making more. I speak from grim experience, having had roughly 3 DOZEN stones since 1978, when I had my first one, up to 2006, when I had the most recent one. You need to drink about a gallon of water per day, and should not take extra calcium if they decide that was the issue.

Good luck to you, hope you feel better soon, Love!
