If it has been happening for the past week I would suggest you call your surgeon. Better safe then sorry. Get well!!!

I would definitely go see your doctor - better to be safe than sorry and to know about any problems sooner rather than later.

Get you a into g and get on that phone chuck!

At least give your surgeon a quick call. Pains like that can turn into something nasty really fast. Good Luck.

Stones in your gall bladder? It's a common post surgery complaint and very painful.

It's gotta be your gall bladder. I had the same issues except I had pains for 4 years on and off. Don't let it go, it's a huge pain in the behind and just gets worse over time. Good luck!

Yep, just had my gall bladder out last Monday - had those pains, combined with a pain in upper right side of belly, right under the rib cage... any soreness there for you? After labs, CAT scan and xrays came back good, an unltrasound showed lotsa stones.

BUT, even after my gall bladder is gone, I have had a few episodes with the SAME EXACT sharp intense pain in the upper center region of my abdomen, the same pain I had with my gall bladder "attacks" - don't know why am I having these "attacks"?? Went back last Wednesday, had MORE labs (normal) and almost to the ER on Thursday, until I spoke with the nurse several times, and we thought perhaps really bad gas, from my surgery??? I have no clue, but have been okay for the past few days. It scared the crap out of me... what kind of pills did they give you? Keep us informed, because I am curious what happens... take care.
