Default The case of the "Dueling Scales" and other off topic stuff

I went in for my 6-month post op today. My home scale weighed me at 180 just a few minutes before the doctor appointment. This makes my weight loss 80 pounds so far. Now when I got to the Doctors office their scale weighed me at 174. According to the Doctors scale, I've lost 86 pounds... Now this is great, but I'm not sure if I should go by the 174 or the 180? But now it's like I'm confused about my identity. Am I weird or is this normal to be so conflicted? 180? 174? ... 180...? 174? What/Who am I?

The great news is my doctor says I should adjust my goal down from the original 160 to be 146-150. Holly cow!

On another note...Valentines Day was my real-time 6-month Anniversary. While it might come accross as a little conceited and obnoxious, I wanted to share a picture of me in my newest outfit...and well..you guys can guess how I celebrated both occasions that night.

(sorry removed pics - had second thoughts)

Which scale did you weigh 260.5 to start on. I would use the start and current weight from the same scale. The difference should be the same.

The 260.5 is from the Doctors scale (and I think I'll drop the .5), but I'm not sure what my scale said on my pre-op day. But I think I'll go from the Dr.'s scale. I guess it's 6 pounds off from mine. Cool!

You look awesome, Jen!! I use my home scale to go by even tho my docs scale is usually a little different since I have to weigh in my clothes at the docs office...
