Default Hormonal things......

Well, it looks like I've stopped losing all my hair. Yeah, no more clogging the drain each shower!

As for my menstrual cycle, it hit a bump this month. I've used Nuvaring for BC since last Feb. I've been very regular on it. This month, I started one week early. Not just spotting, the whole messy thing. I called the pharmacist to see if there's any more info on early cycling as I shouldn't bleed unless I don't have the ring in. No info in the books on it. Pharmacist suggests I get my hormone levels drawn. I'll call the MD in the am and ask whether I should remove it and start a new ring early, as I definitely don't want any little eggs to slip by.

I'm wondering if my naturally occuring hormones have hit a dip that initated the bleeding. It's the withdrawal of hormones that causes a period when you're on hormonal contraceptives. Maybe I'm running out of all the extra stored estrogen as I don't have much fat left to get rid of

Default Hormones

The only thing that I am aware of is that hormones get stored in our fat cells. As the cells dissipate, the hormones are released. I would imagine that works in stages. It's possible that your body is starting to return to normal levels or something. I'm no doctor, nor a woman, but I do remember reading an article about it. It also helped me deal with my wife's "changes" after her surgery.

Hope this is of some value.
