It is the truism hat beauty is in the eye of the beholder.......

for myself...I will attest that I had PS to make my outside catch up to my inside...not the other way around. I had a certain self image of who I am, of what my personality is like. I am am fortuante enough to have the opprotunity to make it all come into alignment. I also believe that when you are true to yourself and accpet yourself....amazing things happen.

That so true and amazing when it happens. The only thing now, is I wonder where all the years went. I can not get younger although because I waited to live so much of the time that I feel like 25 instead of 45...too bad!!!

You're as old as you think! You still have plenty of years. Instead of thinking of what you have missed, think of all the things you have gained and can now do. All we have is the now. So go for your dreams.

I hear what everyone is saying but I think the old saying is true. You must love yourself in order for someone else to love you. I am 14 months out and have lost about 140lbs. I never imagined that my body would look this horrible. I can't stand looking in the mirror and really have not enjoyed my weight loss success because of the way I look now. I am going to give it another 6 months and then get a plastics consult. I don't think this weight loss will be a success in my mind until I look in the mirror and don't see a fat person anymore. I am very lucky that I have a husband that loves me for who I am even though I hate what I look like. He is proud of me for loosing the weight and I just try and feed off of that for now and try to be more positive.

I made a concious decision not to take my clothes off for anyone that didnt care about me deeply. So when the clothes did finally come off, I felt comfortable.

I had plastics too, but I didnt have it for appearances sake, I had it cuz I was tired of the sweat rings and blisters forming around my thighs and huge, hanging paaus. Having a flat stomach is a payoff, but there is still far ways to go. When thing with plastics, when you fix onr area, another area looks worse! There are far too many things to dwell on with regards to my appearance. my BF doesnt particularily care for the "muffin top" pouring out the back of my pants..... he just suggests I wear bigger pants Simple enough right?

Just get naked in front of someone you would give a kidney to if they needed it! That person would care if you looked like a jellyfish! (cute term btw!)

Chin up you sexy thing you! Dont let some moron determine YOUR self worth! Your fabulous!
