Default Dr. visit

Thanks for the encouragement!! I did go to the doctor today and the ultrasound came back inconclusive. I have to go Monday for a nuclear medicine test...all they could tell from the ultrasound was that my spleen was enlarged...what the heck does that mean???? Did I mention I am a little worried??? =)

Default Same pain??

Deb,

I am having the exact same pain. For the last two days I have been having this pain on the right side of my stomach just below the rib cage. It hurts all the way around to my back. Yesterday it was hurting so bad that I was walking bent over. I went to urgent care today and they took blood, did 3 x-rays and tested my urine. They said they didn't know what it was only that I had no obvious obstruction or stones....but they said the xray is limited. I plan on calling my surgeon tomorrow. Let me know how you are doing and what the results of your ultrasound. Hope you feel better!!!

Jim

PS.....does your pain go all around to your back????

Yes, the pain was all the way to my back. It has subsided though. I am not feeling the pain. I had the study today (can't remember the name), but apparently it won't even address the spleen issue, it was just the gall bladder. I guess I will just settle for having a large spleen!! The doctor must not be concerned so I will leave it at that.

Thanks!!

Hopefully he was not concerned.. but aware lol.. doctors freak me out sometimes!! Glad to hear you got through the study.. sounds like you are a little calmer about it today. and that alone is good to hear!!

Under ribs and across back definitely sounds like gall bladder - very common after bypass surgery. Everyone drink your water.
