Unhappy 4 month plateau???

I lost about 70lbs the first three month but haven't made any progress in the last month and 1/2. Everytime I lose 2 or 3 lbs a few days later I see the numbers going back up on the scale, I am grateful for the progress I made and Yes I know about plateaus but I eat no more than before, I exercise and at 4 months I would not have expected to stop losing. What could I be doing wrong? I thought for most people it came off easier the first 6 months. It has been so long with out any progress, kind of depressing.
What can I do to get weight lose going again?
Is it "normal" to plateau so early or am I doing something wrong?

Is there anyone else who had this happen.

Jody

I wish I could help, but I never faced this problem. I'll leave it up to those who have endured... how are your eating habits though? Do you eat 3 meals a day? 5 small meals a day?

The only thing I know I should do but have a hard time with is eating in the morning.
Another thing might be the exercising. I started at a gym about 4 weeks ago and haven't lost since. That is crazy but a change for my body none the less.

If you are working out you are probably builing lean muscle and that would be why you might be seeing lack of change.

That is totally normal to have hit a plateau at such a stage. I didn't really hit mine at that time but it is hitting hard right now. When you are not losing weight, you are more than likely losing inches though. I haven't lost any weight in over a month but went from a size 12 to a size 8 in that time without losing a pound. So don't worry about that one bit. Take your measurements and see what your body is doing.

I know Tonya had the same thing happen when she started the gym at about your stage in the game so she may be able to help you put things into better prospective.

Good luck to you and don't fear.. you are NOT finished losing weight yet.. it's going to happen again..

Like Christina said I had the same thing happen to me and its been going on for about 4 to 5 weeks now. Mine happened when I changed my trainer. The one I have now works my butt off. Yes if you are working out you may be turning some into muscle. I've only lost about 4-6 lbs in a month but I've dropped from a 20 to a 14/16. Muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less space that's why you lose inches. I would ask your if they have a model of fat to muscle. That is what really helped me. If you need more on this or want to talk more send me a message and I'll give you my number.

Wishing you all the best.

It's really, really important that you eat breakfast. Try to eat somethng in the a.m. no matter what. My typical breakfast is a string cheese and 2-3 slices of pre cooked bacon that I pop in the microwave for a few seconds... having breakfast makes a huge difference. Stacie wasnt losing and not eating breakfast... as soon as she started eating breakfast she broke her plateau and started losing weight a little more rapidly.... try it, i hope it works for you.
