Red face *Update* Good, Bad and VERY Ugly

Hi all I am so sorry I have not been on in a while. I hope everyone is doing well. The kids and I moved into the new house in November. We are pretty much settled in. I just have to organize the playroom. That is going to take a few days. I am 11 pounds from ONEderland!!!! never thought I would see the day. I am still eating about 3/4c per meal 2 shakes a day to keep up my protein and all my vitamins and water.

Rob is in rehab so it has been tough being on my own. I get up at 6 AM and I don't go to bed until sometime after 1. Every day is non stop for me. He is doing well and will be able to come home on pass next month for Sergio's birthday. The kids are adjusting well......until New years eve. Our home was broken into while I was at my Aunts house with my family. They stole my brand new computer my Dad got me for my birthday, my son Robbie's Rc snowmobile, playstation, 2 portable DVD players,my daughters mp3 player and a bunch of other things. Thank GOD they did not find my jewelry or my kids jewelry, I would have been heart broken. My grandmother had given all of my kids a ring for their dedication, they are irreplaceable . The kicker was they even took a 30lb bag of dog food! And they tried to take Mackie!!!!! they must have grabbed him on the way out because his collar was by the back door, he is able to slip out of it being he is so wrinkley I do not keep it tight on him, he wears it mainly for his ID. Since we moved he has gotten out 4 times and every time someone has brought him back to my mom's house because I hadn't gotten his new tags! But that is all taken care of now.

So my kids are pretty freaked out about the whole thing. I am Ok though, I know GOD is good and he will never leave me or forsake me. I am the 6th person in my family to have been robbed ( I have over 120 relatives in my town where I live), and the 5th single woman in my area. I believe whomever has done this has been watching me, and that is what freaks me out the most. The detectives have gotten finger prints but if the person or persons are not in the system then it will not show unless they get caught in the future. Thankfully they did not destroy the house. But they did rip the gate off of my wall between the kitchen and dining room I guess the dumbass couldn't figure out how to open it, and they broke the window on my door to get in. My cousin has replaced both of my doors with solid steel doors with only the little fan of glass on top. My Dad is having an alarm system and cameras put in. I think it is not necessary but how can you argue with your Dad, lol.

I am hoping to be around more as time permits. I hope all you losers are doing well!!!!!

Oh my what an ordeal! You seem to be pretty positive which is good. I can relate to how you feel having your house broken into. I was home when my house was broken into, they tied my dog up to the fence in the backyard. I was a mess after, had to get on medicine to help me cope. I had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

I hope that your kids can begin to feel better soon... it is just heartbreaking when our kids are hurt or scared, isn't it?

Congratulations on getting so close to onederland!!! You will be there sooner than you know

BIG HUGS to you!! Hope things only get better from here on out

Laura,
It's great to see you back. You've been through quite the ordeal. I guess it can only get better in 2007, huh? Let your family take care of you, it's their way of dealing with what's happened. They love you and want to protect you and your children. I think you're lucky there.

Laura, sounds like you have had a rough go of it, but very positive. Robbery is not a nice thing and I find very invasive. Great for your dad putting in the system..hope it makes you feel more at ease.

Sounds like the husband is getting on track and thats great news for all of you.

Thinking of you.

Laura I am just glad you and the kids are fine. How dare someone violate you and your children's home like that. I think it is wonderful your father is taking the proper channels to keep you and your kids safe. Hey a camera can be a beautiful thing. I believe it will give you a little more peace of mind. I look forward to seeing you a lot more on the board. I miss seeing them beautiful pictures of you and the children. My prayers are with you Laura. You are a strong woman and God will always keep you in his good grace.

Default Glad to hear from you!

Sorry your having such a rough time with everyday life....but sounds like your handling it. I'm very proud of you. Many of us have turned to food when stressed in the past...Yeah! we don't have to. Yeah! we know better.

Huggs to you and yours.

my youngest was freaked out after she saw a particularly hard seizure her sister had. It took awhile before she would sleep over at her best friends and stuff but she's back to normal now.

Laura! It's so good to see you posting on here again. Kim had told me you moved. That's great!! You must have a lot of room now.
I'm so sorry to hear that Rob stumbled in his recovery. I am glad however that
he is getting the help he needs. Tell him I said hello and am thinking of him.
As for the break in... holy crap! That is horrible!! I'm just glad none of you were there when it happened and you all are safe. Perhaps the kids will feel safer once the security system is in. {{{{{{{{{{{{{Laura}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} I'm sending lots of love your way hon.
I almost forgot. 11 lbs to onederland.. AWESOME! I WANT TO SEE PICTURES!!!

Laura:
You poor thing! How horrible (and violating). The good thing is that you WEREN'T there when they broke in - Lord only knows what would have happened in that case! I'm glad that you're so upbeat about it because you can't change it - it's already happened, and it doesn't sound like it's getting you down (it's great to stay positive for the kids).

I walked into a burgulary in progress in a house that I was renting here in San Diego YEARS ago. Not good!

Laura so sorry to hear about your unnerving ordeal. Like was said earlier it is hard to see your kids scared or hurting. Here's to hoping that everyone settles back in soon.

Congratulations on being so close to one-der-land. We will be eagerly counting down with you.
