Default Countdown to ONEDERLAND and my thoughts @ 9weeks post-op

It is official, the countdown to onederland in now set to begin...lol. I haven't posted much about my sugery as of yet. I am now almost 9 weeks out and feel like it is ok to start sharing my thoughts. I am still not convinced that I would do this again but I've had some isues. Luckily I did not have any health issues/complications due to the surgery and for that I am thankful. However, I still am having big issues with eating. Nothing stays down. Soups and liquids are about all I can handle. It has defintely been a chore to eat the past couple of weeks, but it seem to be SLOWLY getting better. I have dropped from a size 22 pants to a 16 which I think I'm actulally ready for a 14 and in shirts I've gone from a 2xl/3xl to a plain old xl. The clothes part is starting to get fun as I can fit it to much more trendy clothes rather than the old busha stuff I used to wear. Several times now, I have ran into people in public whom are good friends of mine that I haven't seen since before surgery and when I first started talking to them you could tell they weren't quite sure who I was. Then you could see the lightbulb go off and they realized it was me. It really was a good feeling. My surgeon's office spoke to me yesterday about using me as the new "poster" person as they are trying to rebuild the program here. I thought that was a nice compliment and said sure, why not.

I would like to take a moment to thank everyone here for sharing such personal experiences with everyone else in the hopes that it some way it makes someone else's journey a little easier. It has made my journey easier. And to Marty...I love you. I couldn't have a better buddy, thank you.

For all of you wondering where my x-mas cards were...I decided to do something a little different...you will be getting cards in the mail...when you least expect them...lol All the cards I recieved were beautiful, thank you.

And now it's time to beging the countdown to ONDERLAND
As of this very moment I am at 210

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 ONDERLAND...lokk out beacuse here I come

Wiw big congrats. Them 10 pounds will come off fast even though it will seem to you as though they are taking forever. Hang in there, you are doing great. It will take some time to get to know your new tummy.

Awwww shucks Amy....I feel like I haven't done enough! But I am soooo proud of you. You are doing fantastic!!! You gotta get us some pics soon. I'm sorry you are still struggling with food and drinks, but that does usually pass. I can't believe you are close to onederland so soon.....incredible. Just keep staying healthy girl!!
