Thumbs up I'm so inspired!

Hi everyone ~ I just had to write to say that I am 4 & 1/2 months out and my life seems to have changed so much in such a short time.

First and foremost, I feel GREAT! My body has gone through many different morphing stages and just tonight, I was feeling my boney shoulders and flexed my arm and guess what I found? MUSCLE! I got up and walked to Bill and said, "LOOK! I have a muscle in my arm now!" He was so proud of me and impressed.

I have been working out every day for 1/2 an hour. I'm doing 150 crunches and I worked my way up to 20 minutes on the eliptical machine. Before my surgery, I could barely finish 2 minutes on that contraption. I use the dumbbells to work those arm muscles and use the leg weight press. I am lucky to have a gym at work. I go in at 6:30 with my headphones on and get to working out. When I'm done, I take my shower and am ready to get my day started. I can totally tell that my body is starting to transform. The flabbiness in my arms isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. My abs are getting flat and I know this is only the beginning. It's nice to be able to see where my boobs start and where my waist begins. My stomach and boobs used to be one and the same. At least that's what it felt like. I am very motivated and focused. It helps to get compliments from my co-workers on practically a daily basis. It keeps me going. My family continues the support at home.

This holiday season hasn't been as hard as I thought it was going to be. I haven't been tempted by the goodies people are baking. In fact, I am baking myself and giving those items as gifts to our neighbors. I think it helps me get through it. For once in a very long time, my new years resolution isn't going to go down the drain yet again. You all know what I mean.

I just had to post how wonderful I am feeling so that others can see that things do get better. I'm almost in my 160's and that's just yet another goal of mine that will soon be here.

Thanks everyone and you know who you are, that are always so complimentary and supportive. It was great seeing everyone last week at the party.

Thanks for listening!

Way to go Irela. I agree, you looked great at the Christmas party. I made 4 different types of cookies for the holidays (two with no sugar hehehehe). I take the last ones to tomorrow night's Christmas Eve services for the "dessert time" afterwards. As I will be in the sound/video booth for both services all the naughties should be gone by the time I am done!

All sorts of naughties here at work this week too. One of our vendors was so sweet, he brought me a jar of mixed nuts! The guys are eyeing them though! Oh well, I will share!
