Thanks for being Johnny on the spot Whitney! You are a great buddy! I am sending Amanda tons of positive energy, as she is probably out of surgery now. I hope things went well!

Whit, thanks for being the point person! It sounds like her docs are on it, and hopefully this will be her last complication. If I lived closer I would come see her.

Amanda, you will be okay, even if it doesn't feel like it right now. It will be like starting over, with clear liquids, full liquids, etc., but it sounds like they are working the bugs out of your plumbing. Lots of powerful energy coming your way from this part of town. Keep us posted, we all care a lot.

Amanda's mom just called me. She is out of surgery, is a bit groggy, but her doc said that this was probably her problem all along, and that she should feel better almost from the gate. I will give her a chance to rest tonight and will call her tomorrow. They anticipate that she can go home Friday or Saturday - if she's in on Friday I will go visit Positive thoughts peeps!! Thanks a ton for them!!!!

Default Omg!

I have only been away for a while and I missed this. Your pain sounded so familiar. I'm so glad you're fixed I had an internal hernia repaired in November. Mine was not strangling my pouch, however. I felt better almost immediately and yet I was sore. HUGGS!

I spoke with our patient this afternoon - she was drugged up so sounded a bit groggy and out of it, but we had a very coherent conversation for about 15-20 minutes, so I was impressed. She was able to eat real food for lunch, and we hung up because more real food arrived for her and...she was hungry!!!! She is so excited to be able to eat and keep things down

Amazingly, they reopened 3 of her lap incision scars and took care of everything through the three holes - no slicing or dicing which she is thrilled with, obviously. They are planning on releasing her to go home tomorrow- she hasn't really slept since being admitted, so she is also excited to be able to go home and rest in familiar territory. She says hi to everyone and sends her love - she is having internet withdrawals - even though she doesn't post all the time, she is on the site at least 3-4 times per day You are the greatest, peeps for sending her all those prayers and positive vibes - a huge thank you to you all from moi...and Amanda

Whitney, thank you for keeping all of us up-to-date about what is going on with Amanda. I've been thinking about her a lot and I am so happy to hear that she is doing so much better. What a relief that things were handled so quickly.
