Okay guys - she called me and she will be in surgery by 11AM PST today. It will be an emergency hernia repair, and her understanding is that the hernia ia sitting sort of behind the pouch, but it has started to wrap around and strangle the pouch - thus the reason she cannot keep anything down. Obviously (I forgot to mention it in my earlier post) she had been on IVs since she was admitted to the hospital.

Thats it for now - her boyfriend will be calling me when she is out of surgery to give me an update, and I will post then. She said to tell you guys that she loves you and "would like more positive vibes and prayers" that the surgery would go well. She will be discharged possibly tomorrow or Friday (most likely Friday).

We love you Amanda!!

Thank God!!!! I was very concerned when she initially posted. That didn't sound good and as Donna felt is sounded all too similar. I am glad they are taking care of it and she will be as good as new soon. Thank you Whitney for keeping in touch and letting us know. This buddy system is important.

Iagree with Cindy,it sounds maybe an intestinal blockage! My Dr reccomends Benifiber powder for regularity! It disolves very well! I put in Crystal Light and you can't even taste it!! I hope you dr's app goes well! Keep us informed!! Take care! Mike
