Default Breath Changing?

Is it common for your breath to change after surgery? My husband told me my breath has changed. Here I am freaking out thinking "what?!? you think I have stink breath?!? Sleep on the couch tonight a-hole...." when really he just mean that it has changed and not that it "stinks."

What gives? Does anybody know anything about this or have a similar experience?

Yep...sorry you got stank breath! We all had it at some point. I chewed Sf gum- some docs advise against it so sf mints help also.

I've already warned my hubby and co-workers about stink breath and farts. They were overjoyed! I'm thinking a Glade plug-in--just not sure where to plug it in to do the most good!

I buy SF mints in bulk. I keep them in the car, at my desk at work, at home. I'm terrified that I'll not have one when I need it!

Ummm.......try........EVERYWHERE!!!!!! LOL My house has them in every outlet because I can clear a house even being in the back bathroom with two doors closed behind me! It follows me out on my clothes! LOL I send people running for cover......well to fresher atmospheres. LOL It's horrible how it smells to have a bowel movement now. Does everyone else have this problem? It's so bad that my kids are even warning their friends when they bring them over!!!! BTW: The breath is much better now. :P

I was really worried about this, but I have not had any real problems. Sure, if I eat black bean soup or chili, I have to stay alert, but as to smells - no difference at all. In fact, I'd almost say I have less gas now as I don't eat even half of what I did and not all the junk. Fast food used to be the WORST and since I don't eat that trash, things are not as offensive as they used to be. So wait and see and hope for the best. There is always Gas-X.

and stock up on SF mints. I use the Ice Breakers - maybe 10 a day - really.

and don't forget that after surgery, you WANT to fart as much as possible and you won't care what is smells like. My nurse kept asking me if I was passing gas until I said, "Do I need to prove it?" then she lay off for a while.

Have you tried Nullo? ( www.nullo.com )They're little chlorophyll tablets that work on everything from b.o. to smelly farts. It's essentially an internal deodorizer. I buy them from drugstore.com because they're cheaper there. The website recommends them for colostomy patients. Hunters even use them so animals can't pick up their scent.
