Default Honey?

Can we sweeten things with honey? My mom made me a baked apple with honey and cinnamon. She makes them for my step-father, who is diabetic, so if a diabetic can have honey I'm thinking maybe we can but I'm not sure. Any advice?

No. Honey is basically sugar. If you wouldn't sprinkle sugar on it I wouldn't eat honey either.

I was going to say no to the honey as I am a diabetic and don't touch the stuff with a 100 ft pole. The only sweetener I use is Splenda. If I'm somewhere having a coffee and they don't have Splenda but have something like Equal, Sugar Twin or Sweet n Low, I just stick with the cream in my coffee. Splenda all the way! lol

I do know that my dad, who is also a diabetic, eats honey. Maybe it's just a personal preference though. *shrug*

Probably not much help.... but......
