Default Thank you

Well things are slowly getting better. I have an appointment on Thursday and she said if everything was going well with me on phase 2 then I would progress to phase 3. I slept at least 6 hours last night so I'm feeling really good, sore, but good. I know alot of you went to the same surgeon and are on the same meal plan, but I'm wordering my Dr. only sent me home with info on phase 1 and phase 2. So I don't know what I can eat in the other phases. I guess she doesn't want me to progress until it's time, but I need something to look forward to. Thanks again for all of the support.

Nicole

Default Nicole,

I hear you on the something to look forward to! It was really comforting to know that I could eat a new food after the boring liquids and cream soups.

When I had my surgery about 6 1/2 months ago, I slept in the recliner for the first night, then propped up on the sofa for about a week and a half or so. We have a waterbed, so I knew I couldn't do that. My husband, on the other hand, had his surgery 6 weeks ago and got in the waterbed on the first night. I could have strangled him! LOL I generally lived off of yogurt, sugar-free pudding, and oatmeal when I came home. I think at week 3 I could start having saltine crackers. That first one was the best thing I've ever eaten! It was so nice to chew something. I know it seems like time is dragging right now, but before you know it, you'll be eating "normal" food and dropping weight like crazy. Keep posting and let us know how you're doing!

Hi Tab,

My eyes just lit up when you said you had crackers in the 3rd phase. I just want to chew something or eat something from a plate, it's so weird. Thanks so much for the reinforcement. Like I say it's the little things that matter now. Gimme a cracker and I'd be in heaven I will definately keep you posted.

I cheated. There, I said it. I had a saltine that I chewed so much it was mush during the second week! I couldn't eat the cream soups so I had a cracker! And yes, it tasted wonderful!
