Default 6 month appointment

I had a great time at my 6 month appointment today. I was 197 on their scale, down from 264 at my pre-op appointment. He gave me the name of the plastic surgeon he reccomends so I can start doing some research on him. The PS won't touch me till my one year anniversary, but that should work out perfectly with my schedule.

THE BIG NEWS is that my surgeon is adamant that if I go down to 140 I am going to look sickly. He suggests 160, MAYBE 150 but no less. What is interesting about that number is that my trainer figured out that I should be down to 15% body fat when I get to 149 pounds if I don't lose too much muscle between now and then. I guess I'm just really muscular - well - I know I am.

The funny part is that he was checking for hernias and told me to tighten my abs (I do 10 minutes of ab workout every day) and when I did he said, "Oh yeah! You couldn't do that 6 months ago" I guess he was impressed with my abs! I'll have to keep up with those lateral obliques.

We spent a lot of time talking about plastics and skin etc.

It was a great appointment. I felt supported and know that the whole bariatric team is all really proud of me - feels good.
