Default water retention?

I was curious if anyone has had this problem but .. after taking off my socks when I come home after work it looks like I have deformed legs. Like someone cut off all my circulation and tired a rope around my ankles. I am thinking this is water retention though I am not sure. I have noticed my legs being sore, and bruised.. but this swelling or deformity needs to stop its not pretty to look at
Has anyone had this?

It sounds like edema, which is fluid retention. If you've never had this before, you should see your doctor to find the cause. Not to scare you, but it can be a symptom of something serious. Do you wear socks, trouser socks or knee-hi's? Are they snug or tight at all? Things that bind around the leg can interfere with circulation and cause edema too. It needs to be medically evaluated if it's a new problem and brought to your doctor's attention if it a return of a previous problem. Good Luck, chances are it's nothing hairy, but please have it checked.
