Default Loose skin, where did it all come from????

I've noticed that only just the past week or 2 how loose my skin really is. I didn't really notice until I did jumping jacks naked. Wow, you should have seen all that skin flop around I used to really think I was just a large boned person. The hanging skin tells a different story. I really do have a small and petite frame. No more excuses! Just last night, someone said I look fine and don't need to lose any more weight. If only she could see me naked...........

Marie~ You are too funny! First of all, great going with your success! Next, did you ever think you would think of yourself as a "petite" person? I have found that people have different perspectives of what we "used" to look like.

I'm hearing from one of my friends that people at work are saying, "she needs to stop losing weight." When she tells them I've lost 61 lbs so far, there comments are, "I can't believe that she was ever that big." So, it makes me laugh because all I have to do is point to pictures of me in what I call my "swollen" era. My face and body were so swollen looking. Right now, I feel really good in my 14 and 12 petites. I am really looking forward to the size 8's again. I only wore them for about one year when I was a senior in high school, over 20 years ago.

I know you feel great and remember even when you're doing jumping jacks in front of your mirror naked, that you've come a long way baby! Keep it up!

Hi Marie.

You are just melting away!!!! Haven't seen you in awhile, I bet I wouldn't recognize you.

I just can't stand it when people say "you don't need to lose any more weight". That drives me crazy especially when I say I need to lose 39 more pounds. People think I am crazy!!!

Cool Marie

I feel ya girlfriend. Trust me when I say I have plenty of that loose skin as well. My breasts look like a Charpae (sp?) puppy stuffed into a bra and I have witnesses to that. My thighs look really good if I lay down and put them in the air and allow gravity to flow the flattering way for a mintue. My arms.. they are the wind beneath my wings.. and my belly.. well I won't even go there..

I was laying on the floor yesterday and my Aunt was at my house while watching the charger game. I was in my tinkerbell jammie pants (they are like a long john type of material) and I was laying on my back. She said what is that bump on your stomach? I didn't know what she meant and she came over and touched it.. and said oh my Gosh that is your pelvic bone sticking out. You are too thin! You need to stop losing weight!! She was kind of mad and even more mad when I only ate two pieces of shrimp for dinner. I told her I was fine and still had 20 lbs to loose at least before I get to my personal goal and that of my Doctor. She told me to just have my skin removed and I would be there.

Then I told her of my conversation that I had with Kelly at my nine month appointment and she understood.

Kelly told me that since I was close to 300 lbs I would lose weight for 18 months. Apparently anyone at or around 300 lbs or more would lose for 18 months.. She also stated to not even think about surgery even if I got to goal before my 12 month appointment. She told me and Stuart that I should wait until 18 months but wait AT LEAST a year before surgery because my body will still be changing and I will still be losing and then I could get more lose skin after my plastic surgery if I wasn't careful. So I am going with that advice and holding onto it for dear life. She has to know what she's talking about.. she's seen it for years now.. and with so many patients..

Anyway just know we are getting closer and closer to our year anniversary and further and we will be able to get that surgery if needed after that time. Good luck to you Marie.. and hang in there.. (not literally) lol

Love ya,
