Default Questions 4weeks post op

Hi I am new here, I am post op. I had my surgery 10/30/06. I have bounced back great. I was at Disney Animal Kingdom over the holidays and rode a water slide and a roller coaster. But despite all of the great things I have been doing, 3-5x's a day I get very upset when I eat.

Emotionally am I on track with missing the food, wanting it but knowing it will make me sick?

I have lost 35 lbs is that too much weight for such a short amount of time?

I have found that different things make me sick that did not before. Public restrooms gross me out!!!!! B-4 they had to be pretty bad to make me sick...
I used to like protein drinks and now I dry heave when I think about having one....any ideas? chewable vitamin same thing grosses me out. HELP

after every meal, except if I eat yogert, pudding, broth soup etc... I get sick for about 20 min. should I just stick to the soft food?

thanks if you are the ones to help me with my questions...

So glad you are doing so well. I know what you mean about the protein shakes....they really did lose their appeal after surgery. I don't get sick at all, but do find if I eat too much, or too fast, I feel tired...it seems to go away pretty fast though. I eat chili, scrambled egg, canned veggies, cottage cheese, soups, puddings, popsicles, and that's about it. lol. Actually, I feel fortunate to be able to eat these things w/no problems. Had no problems at Thanksgiving either...just blended the turkey w/a bit of gravy and ate the mashed potato and green bean casserole...yummy...only a few bites of course. It's such a hard thing to give advice on..because everyone is different. What agrees with me, won't with you...and what some like, others don't. I'd say just keep trying new things and see how you do. I've had to toss out quite a few things. I hate wasting food, but sometimes you just have to until you find what agrees with your little pouch!! Good luck!

p.s. you did drop a lot of weight, but I don't think it's too fast. Depends on where you started. I dropped 25 the first month..but wasn't exercising at all, because I was in the hospital for that whole month...so considering you are so active, I'd say you're right on!
