Default Iron Question

Hi all -

I have posted my iron woes here before - I was prescribed Niferex (150 mg per pill) and was told to take 2 per day. My ins changed and I have been fighting them for months to pay for my iron but they decline it saying that it is a multivitamin (has vit C and B to help with the absorbtion). I can continue to take it to the tune of $150.00 per month, and my health is worh it, but it is breaking the bank here, and I am tired of going back and forth between my surgeon and my ins co. I searched Vitalady.com and saw these choices (sorry the prices are listed - couldn't copy/paste without them):

**Vitalady Tender Iron (25mg Carbonyl Iron) 400 tabs/btl 1705 $11.99
**Vitron C (Ferrous Fumerate Iron-66mg Elemental) with Vit. C (125mg) 60 tabs/btl 1718 $14.99
**Iron (Polysaccharide-150mg Elemental) 100 caps/btl

I am leaning toward the 150mg per tab one (the last one), but is good for us and as good as the Niferex? Thanks for your input!!

The general GPS POpulation has ben happy with Gentle Iron by Rexall, available at Wallmat. $6.99 for 100??

It has acertain kind of iron which is absorbe in the lower GI which is perfect for us as we no longer had absorption abilities in upper GI due to the bypass.

My hematologist was impressed with it, as it also has a compound of Vit c, Folic acids and b-12.
It worked for me and I had some bad bouts of anemia.

Keep me posted.

I take Vitron C (one daily) and have had no issues. My stomach handles it fine and my labs were great!
