Default Numbness

Just wondering if anyone has any idea about what I am dealing with or has had anything like it.
I started off a week or two after the operation with numbness in my thighs and I thought it was just due to coming off the medicines and being weak.
Now I am 4 months out and the numbness is in my thighs as well as my lower abdominal area and I sometimes get tingly sensation in my thighs.
I work out with a personal trainer and almost collapsed when we were working my legs and thought, ok this cant be normal. So I made an appointment with the doctor and went in yesterday. He thinks it’s a lack of Niacin and told me to take more. But this is coming from the same doctor who didn’t know why I was having a bad taste in my mouth for weeks. So I was looking for your feedback and to see if anyone has dealt with numbness and tingling before in their legs?

yes i have had numbness in my thighs since the day after my surgery

i chalked it up to the reaction to the morphine (as i had a bad one) and all the needles of demerol and gravol given to me in my thighs and still have some bruising there too

and times when i am sitting a putting pressure on my feet, i can get full tingling in my thighs/legs, almost like they fell asleep, but when i stand up it stops, so i know they didnt fall asleep

My doctor said it was lack of potassium and would subside, it finally did about 2 weeks out from surgery. I had it in my left thigh only and I couldnt lay on my back to sleep without it feeling like it was asleep and tingly.
