Looks like you have been doing GREAT... and you look Wonderful..... have you found a new doctor now that you are in Hawaii to do your follow up appt.s with ?? or is there someone on base that is knowledgeable? Thanks for the WELcome back..
I just follow up with my primary doc and email back and forth with my GB doc. It is working out ok. I just wish I could find a support group out here or meet some people that have had the surgery. I love this forum and wouldn't leave it, just would like to have in person support too you know? You are looking great. Love the new avatar!!! Thanks for the complements. I am so happy with my new body!!! I feel so healthy and I don't go to sleep worried I will have a heart attack in the night!! Awesome feeling. Well welcome again, glad to know you have been around. I know how it is when things get busy though. My hubby is in port for the next few weeks, so my posts will probably not be that regular while he is home.

Hahaha, ok I'll take that as it isn't the best school to go to. Right now I go to Sacred Heart Univ. right next to Fairfield U, but I'm graduating from here in May.

Oh, OK then i will still apply there. I am a little iffy about going to Bridgeport hospital, for one its not in the greatest of areas and send i have so much work to do before thanksgiving break, I want to make sure i get it done before i get any news. Not to say it will be bad news, but I'm a little nervous. I had a rough night last night after dinner. Some didn't stay down(which is not like me at all, but lately i haven't been able to consume as many solid foods as i used to) and i was running a little warm with a temp of 100.1. I know its hardly a temp, but my doctor said that i could wait till thanksgiving to see him, but if i started running a temp or my symptoms worsened to call him asap. I woke up feeling fine and well see what happens. I just need to be healthy for one more week!

There is a hospital in Stamford isn't there? What about New Haven? Please take care of your health sweetie. Your professors will understand if you have a doctors note. p.s.: wave to Fairfield for me will you?

Just wondering if you ever found out anything on the pain you were having ?? I had an appt. with a Surgeon yesterday and he thinks my problem is a hernia. And that I probaley had a temporary obstruction the nite my pain got so bad. He said I need to get it repaired. it is in my groin area. Weird that it can cause such pain all over my abdomen. Let me know what u found out.....

Glad they figured out what it was Audean! A hernia huh? I have see quite a few hernia's on here lately. Take care of you, don't let it go for too long before you get it repaired...ok?

That was a local general surgeon, which I did feel comfortable with him. But I do have an appt. with my GB doctor on Friday to see what he thinks... I am having pain again tonight, after feeling good for a couple days. Dr.Dyann hasn't responded , would like to know what she thinks tooooo.... Thanks for checking on me Zen.. I just HATE the thought of another surgery..

My hernia was rather large from the sternum past the umbilical..looked like an alien popping out of my stomach. It was uncomfortable and annoying and hurt more and more with time. If I tried to push the intestines back in, they would come out more, so I wore a compression ACE bandage to try to keep it in. I was told that since mine was so large it was actually better...less chance for enstrangulation. Glad you have an appointment with you GB doc.

Good luck.
