Question Bi Polar Medications????

Hi all

I'm hoping that some of you in the post-op group can give me some advice. I am Bi-Polar and am concerned about WLS screwing with my medication "cocktail". Has anyone had experience with mal-absorption of medications? I have talked to Pharmacist and was told that some of my meds come in chewable or liquid forms. I am currently taking Lexepro, Lamictal and Cymbalta.

Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jennifer A

Lamictal comes in a chewable, the others do not.
Just keep taking your pills and adjust as needed, with your DR.s help of course.

I am on Cymbalta as well and have been for a while. My Dr. had to change mine at about 8 months because I felt like my old meds were to much and all I had no emotions at all. I am now over 2 years out and take 30mg a day with no problem.

I took 150 mg Effexor before and after the surgery and didn't have any malsorption problems. Now my psychiatrist decided to cut me off the drug and I'm feeling pretty good.
