Default Gastric Bypass Card?

Okay, so I took my best friend out to dinner on Veteran's Day as he is a veteran. We thought about it long and hard, and decided on Soup Plantation, where he could have salad, soup and all the nasties that go with it, and I could have soup or a baked potato. We told the cashier that I had had the gastric bypass and was only going to eat a little soup and she gave me the gastric bypass discount, but she also advised me to get a card. Anyone have a card? Where do you get them? Or did you make your own?

Default Discount Card

Tricia:

I think you can print your own card off the obesityhelp.com website. However, if you call Dr. Callery's office and ask, they will mail you a card. It took about three months for me to get mine because they had run out.

Default There is a card!

Tricia,
You can get the card at Dr. Callery's office. Sandi called the office for me and they sent me one in the mail. She is a sweetie! Call Alicia or Lisa...they will get you one.

I've also been told I can get the care at Obesityhelp.com. I'm not sure but I need to get one to.

I printed one out on obesityhelp.com but I have never been asked to show it! They have 3 different formats for you to choose from. Every time I have asked at Dr C's ofc they were out.

I've had one since April of 2002. I have never needed or used it.

Default Got my card today

...although I'm not sure I'll need it. The one time I ordered a dish for myself at a restaurant, it was SO MUCH food that I really didn't need to order anything - could have gotten my half cup from my partner's plate without diminishing his experience much at all...

I generally just have a few forkfulls of whatever my partner's having... saves money! Once I can eat more, the card may come in handy, or if I have to eat out alone, whatever.

Went in to Dr. C's office today for my 6-week checkup (all is fine, and it's actually been 7 weeks). They gave me a card from a large pile they have in the drawer, so they've apparently re-stocked.

Thanks Phil!

My 6-week is today and I go in late this afternoon after work. I will pick a card up then. Doubt I can stay for the meeting. I have to put my house back together. Moved dining room furniture Sunday and shampooed carpets, they better be dry today!
