Default Time of the month hunger

I have never been as hungry as I was the day before my aunt Flo came to visit this month. I was literlly hungry every hour. I would eat and then be hungry again. I was in tears toward the afternoon. The following day, my appetite was back to normal. This is just a new phenomenon that I hope does not happen each month. At least I was able to make healthy food choice, but it was scary. I actually thought that I had stretched out my stomach and it was all downhill from there. Having the extra hormones did not help my thinking at all.

I have noticed this in myself. I am not feeling acual hunger pains, but the really really bad munchies. I "gave in" a little with some "safe" food choices. I had a trail mix and pretzels. I also ate less at my meals to help compensate for the used calories. I too am hoping this is not an every month occurance !!!

Thumbs up

I started my period today and I have been lil miss piggy the past few days.I am about 18 months out and this was the first time I felt piggish.

I think it's normal....give us a break...we are bleeding and being severly reminded we can have children!!!!!!!!!

Do you have bad PMS? I still do.

I actually just got done with mine, and after losing 40 pounds, IT ACTUALLY WENT AWAY ON ITS OWN AFTER 4 days!!! That never happend before. I usually would have such heavy flow I would need to take pills to get it to stop, or it would last for a month. I THINK I AM NORMAL NOW! yay!! ha.

Wondering though, do we gain or not lose during the week of our period or the time around it at least?

Can we just say....STARVING MANIAC!!!
OMG, I am sooooo hungry the 2 or 3 days before, it scares the heck out of me!!
I have been this way right after surgery, but I give in to the hunger (for fear I may kill if I don't ) and so far I have not put weight on.
BUT!!! When I say I give into it, I mean with in reason and with the understanding that it is hormonal and after the 1st day the cravings go away and I resume the healthy moderate eating.

It has worked for me, and I try to go with it rather than fight it.

Hey I had the same experience!! I think that constitutes as a WOW moment!!!!
I have still been losing during mine, though it slows to about a pound or two during that time.
