You know Katie I really should tell Julie and Karen to hire you for PR! Keep shoutin' the praises of their book. I personally think it is a book worth shoutin' praises about. You never know whose listenin'.

...and yes, this does read very much like their book. Their book reads very much like just sitting having a chat with the two of them. It's a rather enjoyable experience really....full of laughs but also packed full of knowledge.

....hmmmm...maybe they should hire both of us Katie!!

Beth,

The ROSE procedure sounds the same as one done here in Ohio called Stomaphyx. Any idea if they are the same, just different names? The procedure here is around $9500 and done outpatient.

Marty, I'm not sure if it is exactly the same thing but suspect it is very similar. I know it is also done as an outpatient ant the physician costs that I have seen are $1000. I'm sure there would be added cost for the scope and meds itself though, but not sure.

Betsy where are you located? I know that there are very few physicians that do the Sclerotherapy but there are more that are beginning to do the ROSE procedure and/or Stomafyx. I'm in Michigan and my surgeon does both but I know that he is one of the few that do the Sclerotherapy.
