Default I have a confession to make…..

I DON’T WORKOUT!

There I said it I feel better now. I really hate that I didn’t have a workout routine during my 10 months post op but I have never been one to work out….ever. Well finally due to the scales resistance to move I decided I better get off my butt and do something. Well today I did. I ran a mile! I know it does not seem like much but I have never done that before. Eveytime I have tried to workout before I could never make it past 5 minutes due to my size (over 350 pounds on the day of WLS). I feel light as a feather now that I have dropped over a 120 lbs and I can't believe I am about to say this….but I think I like working out! I wish I would have started sooner I know I would have had better results if I did. Anyways I just thouht I would share my mini wow moment.

Default Hey Holly

I started working out and ended up not being able to after all of the hernia stuff. I still can't do it.

That is a cool wow moment for you.

Default Phew!!!!!

I'm not alone. Thank goodness! It's terrible, but I just can't get myself motivated enough to work out. My first six months were way too rough, with all of the complications and problems. But now I should be doing it...especially after hearing that you ran a MILE, Holly! That is freaking awesome!!!

Holly there is no better time then now to jump on the exercise wagon. Exercising also gives you an extra boost of confidence and energy. Wow a mile that is great for your first time working out. Just imagine in about a month how far you will be able to run.

I feel weird not exercising.

I don't want to get gross and flabby. I'm already doing crunches and jogging.

Maybe I'm too superficial...

I USE to go to the gym all the time and I still got extra skin. I am going to start walking at lunch everyday with a co-worker and get back to my 3 day a week gym sched. Congrats Hollie on the mile. That's awesome!

Dontcha feel better with that off your chest. After not working out to run a mile is great. I would end up with two black eyes. Enjoy the new discovery and the pounds will come off!!!

Although opinions vary, I'm not sure that exercise will help with loose skin. It does help you lose weight and feel better. But in my opinion don't bank that's it going to make a difference. Some people get the flab, others don't.

Holly I think that's just fabulous! It's the little things.... things other people don't think about. I'm so proud of you!!!!
